Lightbox: Grey Interlopers

Lightbox: Grey was shot on Super 8, but on occasion it was too dark. Then towards the end of our week in Malmö, because things were going so well, the film ran out. So here is an HD edit of the Grey guys from the same week, filmed and edited by Phil Evans and supported by Levi’s Skateboarding. Featuring: Jeremy Jones, Jak Pietryga, John Bell, Joe Gavin, Darius Trabalza and ending with a mini Luka Pinto part.

Lightbox: D Boy Trailer

The latest trailer from Lightbox features Daniel Håkansson Bergström, a once prominent figure in the Malmö skate scene. D Boy dropped out of site a few years back but has resurfaced and is skating harder than ever. Hear his story in this upcoming film from Phil Evans. Keep posted to lightboxfilmproject.com for more trailers and news about future screenings.

Lightbox: Hockey Trailer

It’s fitting that this trailer is released after another successful “Vert Attack” event in Sweden. John Magnusson, aka J Mag, one of the understated driving forces behind the thriving Malmö skate scene once had a career in Hockey – it is perhaps through this that he brings a wider skill set and work ethic to his job developing the skate scenes in Malmö and beyond with his colleagues at Bryggeriet skate organisation .

It is also from this background that he provides a unique insight that can compare the attitudes, approaches and learning models in both the cultures.

Lightbox: Questions Trailer

What does it take to be a real skateboarder? In this second trailer from Phil Evans’ soon to be released Lightbox Series, Heroin Skateboards’ Craig “Questions” Scott tries to find the answer.

If you haven’t seen the first trailer, “Lightbox: Grey”, that was curated by Henry Kingsford from Grey Magazine yet, click here to see it.

Jerome Campbell: Lightworks!

YouTube Preview Image Phil Evans, the man behind “Format Perspective” and “The Panaoramic Series”, has created a new video entitled “Lightworks” which features both Jerome Campbell’s skating and photography in a mixed media composition.
