Lightbox: Grey was shot on Super 8, but on occasion it was too dark. Then towards the end of our week in Malmö, because things were going so well, the film ran out. So here is an HD edit of the Grey guys from the same week, filmed and edited by Phil Evans and supported by Levi’s Skateboarding. Featuring: Jeremy Jones, Jak Pietryga, John Bell, Joe Gavin, Darius Trabalza and ending with a mini Luka Pinto part.

It’s fitting that this trailer is released after another successful “Vert Attack” event in Sweden. John Magnusson, aka J Mag, one of the understated driving forces behind the thriving Malmö skate scene once had a career in Hockey – it is perhaps through this that he brings a wider skill set and work ethic to his job developing the skate scenes in Malmö and beyond with his colleagues at Bryggeriet skate organisation .
It is also from this background that he provides a unique insight that can compare the attitudes, approaches and learning models in both the cultures.
What does it take to be a real skateboarder? In this second trailer from Phil Evans’ soon to be released Lightbox Series, Heroin Skateboards’ Craig “Questions” Scott tries to find the answer.
