Tampa Pro 2017 Day 1

One of skateboarding’s longest running shindigs and always a hell of a time, The 23rd annual Tampa Pro kicked off yesterday in Tampa, Florida. Alongside the Industry VIP contest, Friday welcomed some of the best in the biz for an all day practice session and was closed out with an open bar (things got real weird) and live performaces by Ray Barbee and The Drowning Clowns, Evan Smith’s band.

Check out a few photos below to see what went down and stay tuned to our site and Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook for more coverage from Tampa Pro 2017 throughout the weekend.

The live webcast streams Saturday & Sunday from 12pm only on ETN, download it here in the iTunes store.

Fully dipped, Ishod cranks out a lengthy frontside feeble. Shirt number 1 of 7 for the day.

Matt Berger with a shove-it to backside 5050. This is a wild one. Matt has plenty more insane shuv in and out tricks where this came from.

Tattoos, all day long.

Classic Brandon Westgate frontside flip. Westgate rules!

Berger, Malto, and Torgerson, in the zone.

Thumbs up for Chris Joslin’s fakie flip.

Ishod on shirt 4 of 7, frontside pivot to fakie in the concrete section. Ishod skates it all and makes it look too stylish and effortless. We watched him skate literally all day.

Evan Smith crailslides while the Lizard King approves. Evan is another one who skates all day and makes skateboarding look so fun and easy. Evan’s got it, there’s no question!

FA boys Kevin Bradley and Tyshawn Jones suss out the street course.

Boo Johnson, hardflip.

While the 21 year olds were crowding the open bar, there was plenty of room to check out some art by French Fred and Thomas Campbell.

Just ask this guy.

Eric Winkowski backside airs.

It was a pleasure watching Ray Barbee play!

Evan Smith’s band, The Drowning Clowns, closed out the night. A man of many talents, Evan is either ripping on his skateboard or guitar, non stop.

The Drowning Clowns killed it! Day one a success at Tampa Pro 23.

Real Skateboards X Mister Tucks

Getting the chance to work with him on these two boards and tee was nothing short of awesome for the Real crew and they hope you enjoy them and that they open Mister Tuck’s work up to the audience he deserves.
