Red Bull’s Lost Bowl Invitational

YouTube Preview Image On Saturday, October 24th, 2015 Red Bull Skateboarding teamed up with Creature & Santa Cruz Skateboards/Indy Trucks/OJ Wheels/Bronson Speed Co. to throw a 21-man invite-only backyard bowl bash at Pat Lowery’s legendary Richmond, Virginia Lost Bowl.

With a field of some of the top ams, pros and East Coast up and comers, the day consisted of seven 7-minute 3-man heats followed by a 29-minute everyone-in chaos session set to Slayer’s “Reign in Blood” (inspired by Jim’s Ramp Jam of 1996) and three best tricks. In a rarely seen contest decision, the inmates were put in charge of the asylum and the 21 skaters were asked to judge themselves and pick the top 3 winners. The results, as voted on by the skaters in the contest are as follows:

Willis Kimbel gets wickedly loose on diy parks, ramps, rails and everything in between through the Transworld Skateboarding camp’s online portal, Ryan Reyes comes back from injured reserve status with a knee brace and a vengeance over at Thrasher Magazine, Chris Russell slays every bowl and pool to shreds with The Skateboard Mag documenting his every move and David Gravette is soon to let out a heap of heavy hammers at The Berrics site. Creature gets it rolling into the Halloweekend Massacre!

Ben Hatchell Rises Above at Van Doren Invitational

YouTube Preview Image This summer’s Van Doren Invitational blew up the shores of Huntington Beach, California as a part of this past weekend’s #VansUSOpen. As the clock ticked down to its last seconds and all in attendance were left screaming for more, Virginia’s own Ben Hatchell was the guy that ultimately earned the top of the podium of the Men’s Finals.

Sam Beckett Wins Vert Attack 9

Vert Attack 6Well, that was one hell of a great skateboarding event we just experienced! In case you were still asleep, Vert Attack 9 entertained everyone in attendance at Malmö’s Bryggeriet Skatepark and around the planet via live webcast. The past 5 hours have truly shown that vert skating is alive and well and the next generation of vertically inclined rippers is progressing very quickly.

In the heated Pro/Am Final, England’s Sam Beckett powered through the intensity and usurped the field of competitors to win it big time. Cheers Sam! Tony Hawk, Alana Smith and Evan Doherty each won their respective finals as well. Check the results below. Thank you skateboarding!
