Josh Landau of The Shrine has been family of Dogtown Skateboards since he was a kid hopping fences and draining pools with them. He started a rad band, Rabies, and shortly afterward formed The Shrine. Years later and a few tours around the globe, The Shrine has become a bonafide skate rock band and most likely they’ve torn through your town a few times.
The artwork on the The Shrine’s album “Bless Off” was influenced by the Dogtown graphic, “Born Again” drawn by Ric Clayton back in 1985. Jim Muir teamed up with Josh Landau, took the classic shape of the Born Again deck and made a modern version of it and melded this classic deck graphic with the band’s album cover.
These decks will also become available at your local shop or online at Dogtownskateboards.com beginning Saturday, April 29th.
