In the skateboarding world, Atlanta has always been known for its working class skate scene. The amount of spots inside the city perimeter are very limited, so with a little elbow grease and a bit of cash, the skate community took it to themselves to create the DIY spot called the Foundation.
No epic gaps, massive ledges, or perfectly manicured skate park features, just some friends with concrete and the desire to skate. This is skateboarding at it’s core.

BigWest SouthDown is now live at the Volcom site. With the Damn Am taking place at Volcom each spring in California, and having some of the European riders out there, the decision was easy to just add a couple of weeks of skateboarding to it.
