Cowtown’s 12th annual PHXAM presented by Vans is back with another exciting weekend of amateur skating starting this Saturday, April 6th and 7th at the Desert West Skateboard Plaza in Phoenix. Top ams from across the globe including Vans’ own Daniel Lutheran, Nassim Guammaz, Kyle Walker, Patrick Ryan, John Fitzgerald, Alec Majerus, Antoine Asselin and Rowan Zorilla will compete for more than $8,500 in cash and prizes. Skullcandy will also host the “Best Trick” Contest and award $2,500 to the best trick of the weekend.

Last Friday, etnies participated in the Los Angeles Mission’s annual Easter event for its 16th consecutive year to donate 2,000 pairs of new etnies shoes to the homeless people on the streets of Skid Row.
It was a truly amazing day of giving for those less fortunate. etnies’ owner and CEO Pierre-Andre Senizergues, who began donating with the LA Mission back in 1998, along with etnies staff and pro riders Ryan Sheckler and Cairo Foster were all in attendance volunteering their time to help. A bit tired after last week’s Tampa Pro contest, Sean Malto thought he was meeting the Crailtap crew at Simi Valley’s Skatelab today to do a short online interview, but the guys had a special April Fools surprise set up for him instead. A fun and unique One Man Demo was soon to follow.
