Ricki Bedenbaugh put together an edit with nothing but the skate footage from Red Bull’s Perspective video. Different angles, and new footage. Featuring Ryan Sheckler, Zered Bassett, Ryan Decenzo and Torey Pudwill.
Back on his board with a new outlook on life, Danny Renaud has joined Brian Brown and Steve Durante on Politic skateboards. After months in deck sponsorship limbo, Kyle Berard has made the move over to Mike V’s Elephant Brand of skateboards. The Northwest’s Cody Lockwood is now rolling on Bones Wheels and Ryan Lay now hits the streets on the Pig variety. Ashbury Eyewear has hooked up Bobby Worrest with new sun blockers. If he could line up a proper shoe sponsor all would be solid. Quiksilver has promptly pulled the plug on its skate team (minus Tony Hawk) citing a strategic restructuring of the company, which also owns the DC Shoes brand. No word yet as to how this operational development will affect the heavy amount of riders currently on the skate team roster there. Elsewhere, Dave Bachinsky just joined the team and word now has it that Axion footwear has gone on a financial hiatus. No word on where he and Manny Santiago will go next.
On the mend, Dan Murphy has started a new softgoods company called Proof with an initial offering of tees, hoodies, beanies, and hats. Amongst new announcements and team additions to follow soon, the UK’s Tom Knox joins his fellow countrymen, Paul Shier and Nick Jensen over at their new board company. Any guesses on the name?
